Maximo Site Assessment
SCIS, working together with Mathias Systems and Facility Management Engineers, conducted a thorough assessment of the maintenance processes at NASA’s Glenn Research Center (GRC), including the various Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) from Infor and Datastream (EAM and MP2). The assessment focused on the varied maintenance responsibilities at GRC and the numerous contractors that provide the maintenance. NASA Procedural Requirements 8831.2 rev E was a primary focus of the recommendations. The results of the assessment will be used by Glenn Research Center to plan and implement the migration of this system to Maximo. The Maximo system will use state of the art servers from DELL, implement a load balancing cluster from WebSphere, and utilize a robust Oracle 11g database. All of these systems will run on top of the 64 bit Windows 2008 R2 server platform. A separate set of development, test, training, and production environments will be provided for increased productivity and safety.
