Space Shuttle Data Bank Management System
SCIS working at NASA's Kennedy Space Center played a key role in the design and development of the ORACLE based Database Shuttle Automated Function Executive (DBSAFE), using ORACLE RDBMS and the ORACLE toolset. DBSAFE manages databases that contain Shuttle Ground Support and Payload Data, Administrative information, Security and Authorization data, Validation tables, and other data used by the Checkout and Launch Control System (CLCS) software to checkout and launch the Space Shuttle.
In a phased delivery environment, 5 highly successful releases of DBSAFE were made on schedule and within budget.
