Oracle Rdb Database Data Browser
SCIS designed and developed a Data Browser application for Lockheed Martin for use on the Air Force's F/A-22 Attack Fighter project. It is a web-based application, running on a Windows 2000 IIS Server, which is used to perform data mining of display interfaces, messages, and data elements from an Oracle Rdb database for display on a user's web browser. The Data Browser uses Perl, DBI Perl, DBD-ODBC Perl, Oracle ODBC Driver for Rdb, and Oracle SQL Services to access and retrieve data from the Oracle Rdb database. The Data Browser application utilizes HTML and Javascript to manage the collection user specified data selection criteria and to manage the presentation of the retrieved data on the user's web browser. The Data Browser application is fully configurable to facilitate use at multiple physical locations supporting the F/A-22 Attack Fighter project, which utilize many Oracle Rdb databases.
The development was successfully completed on schedule and within budget and the product was successfully delivered to the customer. The Data Browser application is currently in use on the F/A-22 Attack Fighter project.
