Configuration Management and Software Build Systems
SCIS designed and developed the software Configuration Management and Build systems for separate projects led by Harris Corporation and NASA's Kennedy Space Center. These separate systems are used to manage development of the software for the next generation Space Shuttle Launch Processing System and the International Space Station. They were designed to implement ISO 9003 and CMM level III guidelines.
The systems manage the development and modification of more than 9 million lines of code consisting of 400,000 software files, project documents, and records. They are used to track all bug and discrepancy data, provide metrics, and provide software build and delivery management capabilities. The systems are used by more than 600+ developers, test engineers, quality assurance engineers, support staff, and management. The systems also provide automatic e-mail notification of key events, a rules based protection scheme for tested files, and a web interface to the bug/discrepancy data.
The development and integration was successfully completed and the products are in use on the CLCS and Core projects at NASA's Kennedy Space Center.
